Vendors

With over 60 stalls, The Wonthaggi Market is a fascinating destination. The stall holder community is made up of a delightful group of people who are all very passionate about what they do, be it handmade, up-cycled, or curated second hand goods. It's all about extending the life of perfectly good things and reducing landfill.....and the joy of treasure hunting. Some of us never grow up!

Chill Bill Cafe

Many years after setting up the Killy Café, Fi has a new outlet for her considerable energy and passion. Chill Bill opened in January 2017, showcasing healthy and delicious home-made food and drinks. The coffee is from the renowned roaster, Proud Mary, and is made with great technical skill. The beans are available for sale, the cups are compostable, and people can return them to our onsite compost bin. The food is sourced locally, made fresh daily in house, and can be taken away, eaten inside, or in the courtyard. Chill Bill is also very proud to showcase a range of sustainable gifts, such as kassundi, jams, bees wax food wraps and candles, and keep cups. A lot of love goes into the baking, and the brownies are utterly addictive so be warned.

Monique

Monique has had a life long love of exquisite textiles and period kitchenalia. Her collection of vintage dress fabrics, patterns and haberdashery cause squeals of delight from collectors, and vintage enthusiasts. You might also find vintage games, cookbooks, hats, teapots, aprons and gloves. If the Wonthaggi Market is a department store, then Monique has the haberdashery and kitchen department covered.

Martine

As a graphic designer, Martine has many beautiful collections to draw from to make her unique pieces. From her daily walks on local beaches there are stunning framed photos of nature on Bass Coast and jars of dreamy sea glass. From her collection of vintage maps, letters, cards and ephemera, she creates vignettes that speak to us of quieter times. Her creativity extends to cards, scarves and gift ideas that marry together her design eye with her love of up-cycling.

Paula

Paula shares her love of beautiful and collectable children’s books here at The Wonthaggi Market. The Secret Seven, Rupert, Pooh, Milly Molly Mandy, and a host of others may await you on her stall. The next generation needs to hear the stories that shaped us and often lulled us off to sleep. Treasure hunting on Paula’s stall might also turn up some fabulous old fashioned toys, games and pictures.

Donna

Mindful of where we all sit in the broader picture, Donna expresses herself by sourcing beautiful Fair Trade baskets from Madagascar. These make stunning gifts and compliment the toys, bags, and jewellery made from her collection of vintage textiles collected from her travels and from dear old Gippsland.

Chez

Chez is a force of nature! She has created the sustainable garden at the market supplying the café with fresh herbs and seasonal produce. Chez makes all sorts of things so you might find some of her mosaic work, or a magical little world of nature in a terrarium or an old teapot.

Kirsty Holistic Hairdressing

Kirsty studied hairdressing in London, working with Charles Worthington at The Dorchester. Bored cutting rockstar’s hair, she has set up a beautiful space to do holistic hairdressing taking care of your hair and wellbeing with love and integrity. Using exquisite Doterra oils, Kirsty also offers Indian head massage based on the tradition of Ayurvedic healing.

Man Cave Ornamentations

Bernie has set up the aptly named stall Man Cave Ornamentations. Unsurprisingly, you might find old tools, things relating to cars, magazines from times gone by, ironmongery, games, gardening gear, dvd's and vinyl, as well as vintage ash trays and bar paraphernalia. We cant even name half of the interesting bits and bobs that he finds on his travels
